Our client, a national top-tier law firm, requires an experienced junior to intermediate level associate lawyer with 2 to 5 years experience in oil and gas related law to join their Calgary office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading firm and work with top lawyers and clients on sophisticated oil and gas law matters. Our client is well known for their collegial work environment, well organized practice groups and top quality work.
Our client provides advice on a wide range of transactions in the oil and gas sector. They work on mergers/acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, purchase and sale of assets, and other transactional work. They have strong experience in all aspects of exploration, offshore energy development, and all aspect of construction, procurement and supply contracts. They have a strong international presence, and offer an opportunity to become involved in deals in various jurisdictions. |
| Requirements |
The successful candidate will be called to a provincial bar within Canada, and will have experience in some of all of the above areas of our client’s competencies. Corporate/commercial experience is essential, and direct oil and gas experience is an asset. Our client places a strong emphasis on personality fit within their firm, and the ability to work with sophisticated clients is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with top tier firm experience and solid academic credentials.
